Personality: Kasumi is a sunny, optimistic young woman who tries to put a smiling face on everything, whether it really belongs there or not; she spends a good deal of her day happily humming as she cleans, cooks, does laundry, or whatever task she's set herself to. In emergencies her first thought is usually the state of the house. Kasumi doesn't seem to actually mind when people make a mess, either; she has no particular problem cleaning up after Ranma, and she is always friendly and welcoming to anyone who shows up to kill Ranma at any given time. In fact, she refers to most of Ranma's would-be killers as his friends, particularly Ryouga, who usually shows up to try and beat Ranma into a pulp. She also refers to Shampoo as "Shampoo-chan", and her only concern with Shampoo's behaviour seems to be that the girl is a bit too forward and may act inappropriately. One very rarely sees Kasumi in anything but a good mood. As long as she is in her element, she is happy to do anything asked of her; she has no problem trying to teach Akane to cook, making dinner for uninvited guests, or feeding a panda. She does occasionally take on a "stern" manner, sometimes scolding her sisters for acting unseemly (usually Akane) or saying something rude (usually Nabiki), and on occasion has even taken Genma to task, albeit very gently. Usually, however, her response to anything out of the ordinary is just along the lines of "Oh, dear." Kasumi seems to try to stay out of conflict, preferring to be the one there to clean up after it's all over. She has very little idea of what Ranma's daily life involves, and makes no efforts to understand it; instead she puts on blinders, preferring to see everything through the cute, pink filters she's chosen.
