In brief: Rumiko Takahashi's first extended manga series. Most easily classified as a Sci-Fi/Fantasy, but it's really a farce romantic comedy with SF elements. Often utterly silly, the stories were mostly random amusing situations told in a "vignette" style, without a real ending other than a lunatic punchline.
