• Considering it's the second fanfic I ever wrote and completed, I've always thought it was pretty good. It's actually funny, too, and since I prefer comedies to dramas I've long considered it more or less my favourite. I think most people sort of overlook it mainly though: I mean, it is pretty much overlookable. ;P I had a couple of people request a sequel that gives Gab and Joxer a happy ending together, and I wanted to do that, but truthfully I just couldn't think of a way to aside from some cliched thing where Jessa turns out to be Aphrodite in disguise, just there to Deus Ex Machina the lovers together. So I left it this way, I sorta like it better this way. *G*
  
• Like with a majority of my works, especially my earlier ones, this one sort of hints at subtext. I'll freely admit that I can't stand where the show ended up with the "subtext" (so-called), essentially a pseudonym for "look how much they luuuuurrrve each other", but I enjoyed the subtle "are-they-or-aren't-theys" from earlier on before it got crammed down the viewers' throats. Oh yes, and I was always sort of giddily thrilled by the fact that, not a year later, "Lyre, Lyre, Hearts on Fire" included a dialogue between Xena and Jealous!Gabby that rather echoed what I had here. Wheee! *g*
  
• "Jessa" is a stupid name though. No offense to anyone whose name is Jessa - I mean, it's actually a really pretty name, I just wish I could've come up with something more original. Seems like half the fan-characters who either marry, date, or turn up as Jox's sister are named Jessa or something like it... :P
