This show is no stranger to subtextual relationships. There's more than one; there's more than two, in fact. The Original Subtext (ie, Xena and Gab, as seen above) is the one that is most recognized - and in fact many other subtexts are considered by many to be unofficial, even "wrong". But X:WP was a show which, during its run, kept many situations ambiguous, hard to define, or understated. This section attempts to identify the many personal relationships which fall into this category. The relationship dynamics which will be looked at include Xena/Gabrielle, Joxer/Gabrielle, Xena/Ares, Xena/Joxer, and Xena/Gabrielle/Joxer (or Joxer As Third Soulmate).
