Just where did you get this idea?

Oh - anger, dissatisfaction, maybe even the D-word that gets thrown around. ;) Seriously, though: after I watched "Motherhood", I was so bothered with the way that Joxer's death was just dismissed by the end ("He's at peace" - which was the exact OPPOSITE of what it seemed when Gabrielle saw what may or may not have been a hallucination) and just the entire direction that the show was now taking, being 25 years into the future and basically a "clean slate". It was depressing, it wiped out everything I still liked about the show, and it was like a sign that the show I had admired was now entirely *gone* and it was truly something different now.

So I did what any disgruntled fan would do, and just refused to acknowledge the 'reality' of the final four episodes of the season. No fake-out death, no psycho Livia/Eve, no horrible pretentious religious/Christianity arc (well, beyond what they'd already done), no 25-Year-Blunder, and most importantly - No Joxer-On-A-Stick. :P And, thank God, no hideously bad age makeup for Ted Raimi. ^_~ I just wandered around saying "Well, if you ask me, The Last Four Episodes Never Happened" to all my Xena friends, which eventually got shortened to TLFENH, which eventually actually got picked up and used by people other than me. Which still kinda floors me. ;)

The phrase "It's not denial... It's creative visualization" was coined a few months later, on a mailing list, by CrystalBlue. It was picked up by me and a few others, and it's now essentially a subset of the acronym. ^_^
